Giuliani: Threatening Press = NBD

This morning, former mayor Rudy Giuliani spoke on Fox 5's Good Day New York about Staten Island congressman Michael Grimm's on-camera threats toward New York 1 reporter Michael Scotto.

Greg Kelly: ". . .some parties are considering charges... charges because he threatened somebody. That's ridiculous, right?"

Giuliani: "you gotta be kidding. i was a united states attorney, Associate Attorney General, spent more of my life in the Justice Department than being Mayor of New York. If somebody came to me with a case like this and wanted to seriously investigate it, I'd throw them out of my office."

Giuliani went on to say "Just like Christie. A federal investigation? Blocking the traffic? I mean ok, all right, bad bad bad, shouldn't do it. Shouldn't do it. But are we talking federal crime? Federal crimes are, you know, killing people. Selling drugs. Organized Crime. Massive frauds. . . "

Greg: " There are lesser crimes that you can commit on the Federal level, though."

So come one, come all, politicians! If anyone does any investigative reporting and actually asks you questions about your possible involvement in corruption and illegal campaign donations, please feel free to offer a set of concrete shoes and a nap with the fishes. Anyone who thinks that's not okay is RIDICULOUS.
