This Map Shows How Widespread STDs Are In Your City

Montgomery, AL, sure has some explaining to do. Thanks to Reddit for the tip!

Rentapplication.com created a map of the U.S. that depicts how pervasive sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are in cities across the nation.

The company used anonymous data from a study conducted by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in 2013. The CDC study included cases of syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.

To normalize the data, it measured the STI rates per 100,000 people, which explains why many rural areas were left out of the map.

Montgomery, AL, came in first, with 1899.20 STIs per 100,000 people, and a total of 4,371 STIs.

St. Louis, MO, was second with 1,867.54 STIs per 100,000 people, and a total of 5,942 STIs.

And three military bases came in the top 10.

    How does your city rank?
