Following the shocking news of the stabbing death of Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh, fans are coming together by hanging their scarves and guernseys outside their homes.

AFL staff have put out their scarves representing different clubs outside the AFL headquarters.

The social media tribute is reminiscent of the #PutYourBatsOut movement, where Australians displayed their cricket bats to honour fallen cricketer Phil Hughes.

Crows player Corey Bruce laid flowers at the club's headquarters at AAMI stadium in Adelaide this morning.

Sunday's game between Adelaide and Geelong has been cancelled, with the remaining seven games in the round to go ahead.

I can't think of any conceivable way the @Adelaide_FC boys can play this weekend. #PutYourScarvesOut
