Guess What Happened To These Former Hosts Of The Zone?

Canadian kids growing up in the last 20 years live in The Zone. YTV is the only place to be after school, and the colourful hosts that star in the segments between shows were the absolute coolest. Whether mixing up all the best episodes of your favourite show or rocking it out as the band Nuclear Donkey they were always having fun. But where did these legendary heroes of kid culture go after they left the Zone? How did they integrate back into society? Find out where they are now, it may shock you.

The original host, Phil Geurrero got the ball rolling on the Afterschool Zone. "Phresh" Phil set the tone for years of after school shenanigans. Hosting the show through it's formative years he saw several hosts change, experimented with the format, including integrating Snit his monstrous TV/Robot co-host, and a title change to The Zone we all and love.

After leaving The Zone Phil went on to have several small acting roles in film and TV, most recently appearing as Vincent Burns in 6 episodes of the web series Kids Town in 2013.

Ushering in the new millennium, The Zone introduced us to the duo Jenny and Pat. Jenny Katie Racicot, together with Pat Kelly, became founding members of the band Nuclear Donkey bringing the hits as part of the annual YTV mix CD "Big Fun Party Mix".

After leaving The Zone in the early 2000s Jenny faded into obscurity...

But her co-host Pat Kelly went on to have some success in the industry teaming with fellow comedian Peter Oldring to create the Comedy Network program Good Morning World. Together they co-stared in the 2004 Dave Thomas vehicle White Coats and currently they host a CBC Radio sketch program called This is That.

After Jenny's departure, Pat went through a spell of depression, leading to a week long segment, where he locked himself in a crate in protest until he found his new co-host Sugar. Stephanie "Suga BayBee" Beard went on to host The Zone solo for several years before introducing current host Carlos Bustamante to a new generation of children. Sugar led an active on-air life simultaneously voicing the character Sailor Mini Moon on the long running anime Sailor Moon .

Post-Zone Sugar has found the most success with a healthy career on both the big and small screens, appearing in shows like Weeds and films like For a Good Time, Call... and 50/50 while continuing her voice work.
