A Bearded Guy Met His Doppelganger On A Plane And Things Went Berzerk

Hold me, I can't process this.

Right. So, you might have seen this tweet around. It was posted by British PR Lee Beattie.

Guy on right is the husband of my friend @elrottencrotch. Guy on left is a STRANGER he met on a flight last night!

Beattie told BuzzFeed News that the guy on the right, Neil Thomas Douglas, is "a photographer who was travelling to Galway from Glasgow via Stansted last night to shoot a wedding today.

"When he got on his Ryanair flight, there was a dude already on his seat. He asked him to move and when the guy looked up, he thought: "Holy shit, he looks like me." They had a big laugh about it – everyone around them had a laugh, they took a selfie and that was it."

Which was weird.

And is probably where you think the story ends.

But then, Beattie says:

"Neil then checked into his hotel in Galway to find his doppelganger checking into the same hotel ahead of him. They laughed."

Which was weird.

But then, Beattie says:

"Later that night, Neil went to the pub and again, there was his twin. Total weirdness. They had a laugh and a pint."

BuzzFeed News hasn't been able to speak to Douglas yet because he's busy shooting a wedding. But Beattie says: "They did not even swap names! They were so freaked by it that their actual small talk was just like 'BEARDS. THE SAME.' All Neil knows is that his twin was in Galway for the weekend with mates."

Which was weird. But THEN...

Beattie's tweet went viral, and THIS GUY kept getting sent it because...

@Artminx @leebeattie @elrottencrotch @ben_cameron you're the 3rd person to say this! I don't see it!

...he looks like the other two guys.

Which is weird.

@ndmckeown @Artminx @leebeattie @elrottencrotch @ben_cameron So where are the other 6?

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the strangest doppelganger story of 2015. Now let's get that group shot organised.
