Twittering A Break-In

This Week in Responding to An Insane Situation By Twitter: a man breaks into a Silicon Valley guy's home, and the guy Twitters and sets up a Ustream. The UStream is really going the extra mile. It's like the 2009 version of 'America's Most Wanted.'

  • Well at least I don't have to waste time going to pragerpedia, and looking up techniques for when someone breaks into my place

  • Bear, I work with Dave, and he definitely doesn't fit into your “rich white person in San Francisco” stereotype. He's just a super nice guy, and he probably didn't want to freak the dude out.

  • Hah! Dave is a good guy, but I would have been freaking out and calling the cops. And screaming. A lot.

  • I don't subscribe to the old “nuts and flakes” stereotypes, but still—this is totally something I'd expect from some rich white person in San Francisco. Reacting to a home invasion the same way one might react to a stranger eating out of your organic vegan picnic basket at a Phish concert. After you've had, like, a dozen rips off your friends awesomely gigantic bong.
