Autotuners are fun when they're used to turn speech into song (see Auto-Tune the News), but not so much when used on actual singing (at least in this case).
Music Buzz As noted by Caroline McCarthy: here is “I Want You Back,” covered by Discovery (the collaboration with Mr. Ra Ra Riot and Mr. Vampire Weekend), using auto-tune. The only thing missing is some sort of 80s-movie-referencing mashup. Anyway, listen now (right now!) before it becomes uncool.

This slow speed is all dreamy and nice, but I like it better when sped back up to near the speed of the original. Can't appreciate the keyboards as much, but it doesn't have that draggy feeling. Uploaded it here (not a direct download link - go there then download): Discovery - I Want You Back _faster_.mp3 - 3.60MB
It's too bad we don't have a “So Cool It Hurts” button.

Profoundly obnoxious.
Hopefully one day people will actually sing again.
