I agree. Society is inherently suspicious of things that are supposed to be free. I bet, however, if you were to throw a million dollar bills out of a plane, you would see people fighting over it. Just last year, a person was TRAMPLED TO DEATH at a Walmart Black Friday sale.

1st: Where did Amy get $100 to give to total strangers? 2nd: She made this video when she just saw (500) Days of Summer and felt all hopeful and junk, and she thought that Sweet Disposition song was like, soooooooo cool.

I’d bet the people that looked at it but didn’t take any money thought it was art and you weren’t supposed to touch it.

I tried a similar experiment, taping a bunch of dollars on a homeless man.

Im assuming the people who looked at the tree saw the money but didnt want to grab some for fear of spoiling some sort of experiment/project or seeming greedy. Or they really are stupid.
