I agree. Society is inherently suspicious of things that are supposed to be free. I bet, however, if you were to throw a million dollar bills out of a plane, you would see people fighting over it. Just last year, a person was TRAMPLED TO DEATH at a Walmart Black Friday sale.

I'd bet the people that looked at it but didn't take any money thought it was art and you weren't supposed to touch it.

I tried a similar experiment, taping a bunch of dollars on a homeless man.

This is beautiful. And the editing just makes it better.

Im assuming the people who looked at the tree saw the money but didnt want to grab some for fear of spoiling some sort of experiment/project or seeming greedy. Or they really are stupid.
