Brian Ries 4 years agoLook at how Lin “quotes” the same phrases on his own blog in the following test: *i did something* i ordered 20 tao lin books on amazon for people’s wish lists on amazon, i believe this to be an effective promotional and artistic plan in terms of ‘steady cash flow without a real job’ and ‘decreased existential despair’ based on my timing, the effect on sales rank, foreign sales, possible reaction from media and those receiving the books unexpectedly, and that i looked at richard yate’s books before purchasing my books so my books will show up in his ‘customers also looked at’ part; i believe this also to be an effective moral plan in terms of ‘decreased pain and suffering in a context more comprehensive than most people’s’ in part because ‘in the end’ ‘this move’ will be more beneficial for independent companies throughout america than for amazon and other publicly-owned companies in part because doing this will ‘get me back’ more money in the long-term, i believe, than if i did not do this or even if i had invested the money in the stock market or something, and my increased money will likely go to organic vegan food from independent companies with probably a much greater focus on local produce, social awareness, and sustainability than ‘the average company’ thereby relatively decreasing pain and suffering, the destruction of the environment, and the power and influence of entities whose actions are based-on and determined-by non-conscious abstractions (entities existentially required to increase profits, for example) rather than concrete objects such as trees or humans or other conscious beings; i feel the need to reveal what i have done on this blog in part because i feel the effect will be strengthened if i ‘make this promotional plan public’ *i did something*
