  • Porn Bailout

Business Buzz Larry Flynt and Joe Francis want $5 billion from Congress to save the adult entertainment industry. $5 billion seems like a small price to pay for the relief of a tense, unsatisfied nation, but Joe Francis is maybe not the person to trust with it. Then again, neither is Congress.

  • My thoughts on the matter:  * So they've gone down by 20%! The auto industry is down 30%+. I don't think 20% is too much for them to eat!
    * They go in the hole all the time and manage to come out!
    * Just like Detroit, they didn't provide much financial details when they came.
    * Their margins are huge. Even with sales down, the difference between income and expense is an enormous spread.
    * Of course, they could take their business overseas and just pull out.
    * If they can't pay their actors would it result it mass lay offs?
    * Hard times for porn stars? Is that a bad thing?
    * Wouldn't you love to be the recruiter to try to peddle those resumes?
    * Wouldn't you love to hold job interviews with these applicants? Freebies?
    * I don't think they should lay their problems on the taxpayers!
    * However, it is one industry where you would really get some bang for your buck!

Congress decided to do one better for the pornography industry and the American people – take porn out of the bedroom and place it into the daily life of America in order to make people’s lives more enjoyable and relaxed.

  • Sorry Larry and Joe. There is enough porn in the world right now to accommodate the beating-off needs of the world through the next millennium.
