And even if it were by elected official Illinois probably wouldn't be in the top ten. Thank you FBI agent for that one quote that gave everyone motivation to blindly claim knowledge of Illinois politics.

It would be better if it was “convictions per elected or appointed government official” rather than “convictions per resident.”
