In Defense Of Third Eye Blind
NYMag has a great piece championing the best of the 90s guilty (but not really?) pleasure bands. “Motorcycle Drive By” was probably the most important song of my teenage years, so this really meant a lot to me.

Stephan is my motherfucking hero. Tony is an attention whore, though. We were in Vegas to see their show at the Hard Rock and he was bumming around Starbucks with his kids trying to get attention… no one recognized him until I did. Cute kids, though.

I had such a huge teen crush on Stephan Jenkins because, like, omg, he just *got* me, you know? But now I see him around SF all the time and some of the magic is lost. Plus I think he broke Vanessa Carlton's heart.
