HumanLight
Today is HumanLight, the Humanist's secular December holiday of choice! If you are still looking for an end-of-the-year holiday to fit your non-religious beliefs, perhaps you can turn to this “anyhow, anytime” celebration. The only rule is there are no rules, because rules feel like religious or cultural beliefs imposed upon an unthinking society. Not the Humanist way.

Oh goody! Something to celebrate with Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. I'll bet that's tons of fun. Attention self-consciously atheist atheists: it's OK to still celebrate (or not celebrate) Christmas without believing in God. Most Christians recognize it for the perfectly secular/pagan gift swapping orgy it actually is. Nobody actually cares anymore.

It's the feel-good, roller coaster, edge-of-your-seat, branded holiday of the winter. Two thumbs up. Next time I develop a holiday so I don't feel left out, I'll make sure I use every Cancer-ward-cliche icon (no no, it's ok, I can say that, my Mom had cancer) and a big, bright, friggin SUN in the background. I love you! It's ok fellow trolls! I'll have a witty, college-level response to whatever you come back at me with!
