Tech Buzz
The Mumbai terrorists used cocaine to stay awake and multiple Blackberrys to map out their attacks.
They were also mostly dressed in trendy t-shirts and jeans and did nothing to protect their identity. Whoever the attackers were, they were also down with Twitter: media outlets asked victims to stop tweeting during the sieges for fear that it would provide the terrorists with extra information.

I understand that it's easy to create a hipster meme: you just take anything in the news or pop culture, then force it into the conveniently broad and ill-defined concept of “hipster.” But isn't it in bad taste this time? It's not funny and it offers no insight. Just a terrible post.
Dunno if it's about that Mike. I think it's more parsing what we see in the world through our own experience - in this case the poster thinks of tech (for brutal efficiency) and t-shirts (to blend in) as a 'hipster' because she's a sheltered urbanite and doesn't know any better. It's more that anyone can create or comment on 'news' now, and this garbage is the result.
IN OTHER WORDS: We now live in a “make up your own news details” information environment. That we have no idea what is really going on and never will but think we do is all the better for those who know how to manipulate our perceptions. Don't worry: KEEP SHOPPING SHEEPLE!!
