‘Burn A Koran Day’ Canceled
Terry Jones, the terrible, intolerant opportunist in charge of “Burn A Koran Day,” has officially canceled the event.

Jones appeared with Imam Muhammad Musri from the Islamic Society of Central Florida, who has been meeting with Jones over the past two days to convince him not to burn Korans. Musri, however, said he got a commitment only that Rauf would meet with the two “to discuss and come to a decision on relocating the mosque in New York.” Musri was the one who spoke with Rauf’s office.

I sincerely hope he doesn’t start the event up again, though; General Petraeus has already voiced his objections on the basis of compromising security for our troops, and Obama publicly condemned it on Good Morning America this morning. Granted, the government can’t stop the man on the basis of free speech, but still…talk about rude…
