Amanda Dobbins 4 years agoOh, I see, I meant that the VOTE for Favre was rejected—you’re right, the ballot was accepted as a vote for Coleman. I didn’t put it very well—updated to change. Thanks!

Amanda Dobbins 4 years agoSilver says that the Board rejected the Favre ballot and awarded the vote to Coleman. Is that wrong? The Minnesota papers don’t want to go vote-by-vote on this.

Jim Parsons 4 years agoThat isn’t quite right. The Brett Favre ballot *was* accepted because the Board said “Brett Favre” was a legit write-in and not and “identifying mark.” What’s weird is that they rejected the Lizard People ballot because they said that having “Lizard People” written all over the ballot was an “identifying mark” because there could be a real person called “Lizard People.” What they would do with “Adolf Hitler Campbell”?

Andy Yaco-Mink 4 years agoAmanda, that wasn’t a vote taken away from Franken, that was a vote given to the Lizard People. This is how democracy works.
