Now now, the Golden Globes ones from this year (eg. Diane Kruger) don’t count because it was raining and people were EVERYWHERE holding umbrellas over actresses while they posed for the cameras. However, Babar totally deserves that umbrella AND some pink lemonade.

1 and 12 look like they’re on set in which case, if it is raining, someone from wardrobe or a PA is responsible for getting the actor from their trailer to set with out any water touching the clothes, otherwise they’ll have to change them, time is wasted, people get pissed etc. Just how the work is done. However, the seemingly everyday activity umbrella hire is a liitttlle much.

So that’s what they spend money on? But they want US to buy all their sh*t, go to their movies, and donate to THEIR causes. Super sickening. I could understand on the red carpet, but dang. That’s just selfish. I guess the phrase “Are your hands broke?!” means nothing to them.

I can understand the umbrella holding being useful at an event, but for everyday errands?

Some of these are fairly ridiculous, but a good chunk of them are simply doorman shots. Doormen hold umbrellas over everyone when it rains, even flat broke nobodies like me, because it’s part of their job, and they are paid (and often tipped) very, very well to do it. Also, in some cases these are on-set shots, where actors are wearing make-up that takes a long time to apply and can be seriously effed up by sun and heat.
