I can appreciate that she’s trying to use her icon status for good (LGBT stuff) but I wish she would check herself once in a while and not try to be *the voice* of every “outcast.” One of the best things you can do when you have privilege is know when to step back and not appropriate someone else’s struggles.  But mostly this song was just musically boring :-(

That’s completely fair and absolutely correct (re: times change). But there are reproductive health organizations that have specifically anti-racist origins and I’m just more inclined to trust those ones (which is not to say PP should be defunded because that’s ridiculous). I hope you didn’t feel like I was speaking for you - my opinion obviously doesn’t reflect everyone’s.
