The FBI Were Not Fans Of Martin Luther King
In November of 1964, the FBI sent King a threatening, anonymous letter, along with a cassette containing the findings of a 9-month surveillance project – which allegedly held incriminating evidence of King soliciting woman in various hotel rooms.

At the time, the FBI were fearful of King’s connection to the Communist party, but simply stated they wished for King to resign from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. However, King felt as though the letter was a threat, trying to persuade King to take his own life.
