We Need To Talk About How Great Niecy Nash Is In "Getting On"

Petition to nominate Niecy Nash for an Emmy, starting now.

First of all, Getting On is criminally under-discussed and that needs to change right this very second.

The characters, from the egomaniacal Dr. Jenna James...

...to the off-kilter, but always well-meaning, nurse Dawn Forchette...

...to Patsy De La Serda, the effusive take-charge nurse...

...are all terrific. But what we NEED to talk about right now is Niecy Nash's nurse DiDi Ortley, because she is THE BEST.

In every damn thing she does.

Like, only she could deal with June Squibb's bullshit without immediately crumpling to the ground under the force of The Squibb.

DiDi knows that it's important to examine the linguistic intricacies of human excrement.

And not to crumble in the face of such unknown smells.

    Plus, she makes apathy hilarious.

But she's not afraid to ~go big~ when it comes to showing off those smooth moves.

But perhaps most importantly, amongst all the self-serving personalities at the hospital, DiDi is one of the few voices of reason.

She actually relates to her patients on a personal level, getting to know their histories.

And she doesn't have to be saying anything at all to show how much all of their stories resonate with her.

LIKE, LOOK AT THAT FACE. GIRL CAN EMOTE.

Basically, in everything that she does on this show, from hospital antics to tender moments with her patients, DiDi FUCKING KILLS IT.

So it's time to acknowledge the simple fact that DiDi ~SLAYS~.

And you better not mess with her.
