1. Where's Luke?

We'd seen Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in the movie's last trailer, and there was a brief glimpse of Leia (Carrie Fisher) in the behind-the-scenes footage that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. It's nice to see them both together on this poster. But Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is nowhere to be seen.

It's ~MYSTERIOUS~, you guys.

2. Is this a new Death Star?!

It sure looks like a new Death Star to me!

Update: As several commenters have pointed out, this looks like it could be Starkiller Base, which the official Star Wars website describes like this:

An ice planet converted into a stronghold of the First Order and armed with a fiercely destructive new weapon capable of destroying entire star systems.

(Kind of sounds like a Death Star!)

3. Is there a bigger connection between Rey and Kylo Ren?

Kylo's lightsaber and Rey's staff seem to line up perfectly, which does not seem to be a coincidence. Could this mean they are… related somehow?

4. Could this be Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o)?

It wouldn't be a Star Wars poster without R2-D2 and his life companion C-3PO. But the only new character in the entire poster is that tiiiiiiny alien standing next to R2. Could this be the character played by Oscar-winner Nyong'o via motion capture?

5. Seriously, is that Luke Skywalker's lightsaber?

We'd gotten a glimpse of Finn (John Boyega) wielding a lightsaber in a special poster released at the D23 conference in August, and in an Instagram video released a couple weeks later.

But the hilt remains tantalizingly covered up, delaying, for now, the question of whether this is, in fact, the lightsaber Luke lost at the end of The Empire Strikes Back.

6. Why isn't BB-8 bigger?!?

First, it seems the stature of Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) has been demoted somewhat, but at least he's here. But really, Disney could have released a poster that was just a giant shot of BB-8, and that would probably have been enough.
