There are so many things in life I don’t even realize I should be thankful for. Here’s to flushing pretty much anything!

The problem really arises when people not only don’t flush their tissue, but they don’t throw it away and leave a pile of soiled tissue next to the toilet in a public restroom. This was the case at a Target store in California I worked at.

Everywhere I’ve been around the world besides US does this,,, If the place has a septic tank you need to do that, or else……

it;s like this everywhere in China, Cambodia, and much of Thailand as well….

I just got back from Santiago, Chile and this is standard practice. The fail here is that an American has left America and got confused.

I’m an exchange student in Chile right now, throwing toilet paper into the trash can is completely normal here.

I worked for a landscaper for two years.. this explains so much. I hated using the bathroom at work..

My friends from Mexico never stopped throwing their poopy tissues into the trash bin because their father wouldn’t grasp the fact that you really don’t have to do that here.

I had an apartment like that.  Not a failed sign, just a shitty crapper (heh).

I’m assuming they have problems handling paper waste such as Greece, and you do have to chuck your shitty paper in the bin.. (I’ve had first hand experience)

This is common in Latin America, as the septic systems can’t handle the paper waste. Modern septic and sewage systems are a luxury for most of the world.
