Saroo Brierley got lost in a train station in India in 1986. He was 5.
Later an Australian family adopted him, but Brierley never forgot his roots.
For more than 25 years, he tried to reach his original family, until one day he realised he could use Google Earth as an instrument to find the way to his childhood home.
Last year Brierley traveled to the places he had been mapping during the last 4 years and thanks to Google Earth he found his native home and his mother.
This is the story behind the new Google ad.
A story which shows us how getting indications to go back home sometimes can mean much more.
These are the words used by Brierley to conclude this touching story:
Everything we have in the world is at the tap of a button, but you've got to have the will and the determination to wanting it.
My question is: would it have ended the same way if the main character had used Apple Maps?
