Hamels plunked him with two outs in his first at bat (admitting that it on purpose because it is part of the game) and Harper responded in the best way possible. He went from 1st to 3rd on a single and then stole home. After that he had two more hits, one was a bloop single that he legged out and made a double. He is quite fun to watch but so are the Nationals who have now won all but one series thus far. It is very early on in the season but the Nationals are in first place despite 4 of their best players on the DL. I can’t wait to see how good they are when their pitching is backed up by a line up where R.Zimmerman, Morse, LaRoche and Werth finally join Harper all at the same time.
