These Ads Perfectly Illustrate The Complexities Of Depression

Samaritans of Singapore created this series of print ads that use hidden messages to show the difficulties of living with depression.

1. The posters are ambigrams—messages that read differently depending on the direction you read them in. This one says “I’m Fine.”

2. But upside down it says “Save me.”

3. “Life Is Great.”

4. “I Hate Myself.”

5. “I Feel Fantastic.”

6. “I’m Falling Apart.”

7. Imgur user deezeessi collected these images created by the Singapore-based suicide prevention organization.
