joeb11 a year agoIn that scene, Darth Vader has like 20 seconds tops to live. It’s not like he sneaks off with a briefcase full of cocaine and money and lives happily on a beach somewhere, unpunished for his crimes. He more or less gives himself the death penalty. What would you have wanted Luke to do in that situation? Put the respirator mask back on DV so he could be alive to stand trial on Planet N’ur-em-Buurg? Because that sounds a little more “prequel trilogy” than “original trilogy” to me.
